Fitchburg’s Fall Food Tour
Savor the flavors of fall and explore Fitchburg's food scene! You'll find hand-crafted local brews, European specialties and tempting treats that highlight the fruits of fall.
Oktoberfest Brews at Local Breweries
It's your mini vacation in a pint glass! Oktoberfest from Hop Haus Brewing Co. is now on tap in Fitchburg. Brewed with German hops, Munich malt, and a traditional German lager yeast strain, this cold-fermented fest bier is a great way to celebrate with friends. Prost!
Delta Beer Lab, and Great Dane Brewing Company also have seasonal beers that are on tap and available for pick-up. You can find brews from The Great Dane at local stores, as well.
Prime Rib at Seminole Tap
One of Fitchburg's favorite neighborhood restaurants, Seminole Tap has a menu filled with dishes that hit the spot when the weather turns chilly. Their menu features specials for every day of the week, and locals love their Prime Rib Saturday special. Slow roasted and seasoned prime rib is served with your choice of potato or vegetable, creamed horseradish sauce, and a mixed greens salad. Diners will also want to try their fish fry, available on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Seasonal Beverages
Chilly temps and brisk winds make it the perfect season for some cleverly crafted hot beverages with tastes of the season. Tati Co. in Fitchburg has all the traditional favorites that can be sweetened with fall flavors like cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and gingerbread. Oasis Cafe offers not just pumpkin spice lattes, but a delicious London Fog (also known as an Earl Grey Latte) for tea lovers, as well as Matcha Lattes, Chai Lattes, and Miel, made with espresso, steamed milk, honey, and cinnamon.
Authentic German Brats
When it comes to traditional German sausages, Bavaria Sausage is as authentic as it gets. Their sausages are made locally and always gluten free. You can shop their entire store online, or shop in-person at their Bavarian Chalet in Fitchburg. There’s everything you need for the perfect fall cookout, including a wide selection of mustards and krauts, authentic German pretzels, dumplings, spatzle, and of course, bratwursts!
