New Spaces To Explore In Fitchburg
Fitchburg has welcomed some exciting new spaces to explore this year! Find your favorite hangout, perfect for spending time with friends and family this fall. We’re thrilled to welcome these vibrant indoor and outdoor spaces to our community!
Miyabi Sushi
The newest addition to Fitchburg’s growing food scene is Miyabi Sushi, with a menu centered on sushi, sashimi, ramen, grilled specialties, and Japanese-inspired dishes. Located on McKee Road, Miyabi opened in September of 2026 and offers diners a broad selection of traditional favorites, from nigiri to classic maki and specialty sushi rolls. The menu also includes a “Chef’s Craft” section featuring Hamachi Jalapeño and Ponzu Beef Shank. Gluten-free diners will also find many options on the menu! Stop by for lunch or dinner!
Hosto Hoci
Hosto Hoci opened in late 2025 as a gathering place designed to bring the community together. Created as part of Fitchburg’s Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative, Hosto Hoci combines outdoor recreation with opportunities for families and neighbors to connect. Visitors to the park will enjoy a large, family-friendly playground with area designed for different ages, swings, picnic spaces, a gazebo, and room for bikes and other recreational activities. Multi-use recreation areas provide additional space to get active, while the park’s welcoming layout makes it easy to spend an afternoon playing, relaxing, or meeting up with friends and neighbors.
Hosto Hoci is also a hub for community gatherings throughout the year, including community dinners, free farmers markets, pop-up library events, and more. These events add another dimension to the park, turning it into a place where recreation, learning, and community connection come together.

Fairway Lounge
Fairway Lounge opened in Fitchburg in the spring of 2026 and has become a great hangout with more than just golf. The space combines six Trackman golf simulator bays with a full-service bar and a relaxed social atmosphere. The simulators allow guests of all experience levels to practice, play virtual courses, compete with friends, or participate in organized leagues and tournaments. The lounge also offers Salvatore’s Pizza, snacks, and rotating local food trucks, making it a destination for both golfers and people looking for a place to socialize.

Zafferano Ristorante
Zaffernao Ristorante opened in Fitchburg’s Cahill Main neighborhood in the fall of 2025 and has already become popular with visitors and locals for its distinctive dining experience, which blends the bold, aromatic flavors of Indian cuisine with the familiar comforts of Italian cooking. The restaurant features an eclectic menu of handcrafted pastas, wood-fired pizzas, curries, tandoori-inspired dishes, and creative fusion specialties. Signature dishes include butter chicken pizza, masala chicken Parmesan, chicken 65 gnocchi, and saffron mac and cheese. With its inviting atmosphere, full bar, and selection of wines and craft cocktails, Zafferano’s is perfect for date nights, family gatherings, and celebrations.
Zafferano’s is also becoming a lively gathering place for entertainment and special events in Fitchburg. The restaurant hosts Tuesday Steak Nights, featuring steak selections and a complimentary chef’s special appetizer. Wednesday evenings regularly feature live music from 6 to 8 p.m., creating a relaxed backdrop for dinner and drinks. McGaw Pickleball Courts
Pickleball enthusiasts will find more courts and more fun at McGaw Park in Fitchburg. In 2025, the City of Fitchburg expanded the park’s popular pickleball facilities, adding four new courts and bringing the total to 12. The new courts officially opened one year ago, marking an important addition to one of the city’s largest recreational parks.
During the season, lessons and clinics are offered through the City of Fitchburg Recreation Department and Fitchburg’s fantastic volunteer group, the McGaw Pickleball Advisory Committee (MPAC). MPAC provides free beginner lessons and hosts Open Play sessions to welcome players, offer guidance, and build community. They also host a popular Friday night event, Pickles & Beer, where all are invited to enjoy friendly matches, beverages, snacks, and great company at the McGaw Park pickleball courts. All abilities are welcome!
The expansion was part of Fitchburg’s 2025 parks projects and was designed to accommodate the growing interest in pickleball among residents and visitors from the surrounding area. City officials described the additional courts as strengthening McGaw Park’s role as a regional pickleball destination.
